Find A Mentor (Students)

To find a mentor, you can reach out to the Graves Center staff, inquire with faculty, 通过我们的领英群组搜索校友，或者在你的个人网络中寻找你感兴趣的专业领域的个人.  师徒关系可以包括针对特定职业/专业问题的通信, informational gathering interviews, shadowing opportunities, mock interviews and even internships.

Tips for Mentees

  1. 根据他或她的职业和生活经历来选择你的导师，并根据相似之处做出选择.
  2. Do your re搜索. 在联系你的导师之前，多了解他/她的职业、行业和组织.
  3. 在与导师的初次接触中简要介绍一下自己. 通过与你的导师分享你对职业道路的想法和感受，让你的导师知道他或她可以如何帮助你, 他或她会更好地理解你的期望.
  4. 在关系开始时，要清楚地了解导师的承诺程度. 他/她想要频繁联系还是一个月联系一次? 你更喜欢哪种通信方式——电话、面对面会议、电子邮件?
  5. Be respectful of the privacy of your mentor.

  9. Say “thanks” often!

Become A Mentor (Employers/校友)
